The Ministries at St. John

Opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and faith formation

  • Bible Study with Pastor Ron

Come and learn more about God's word with our Pastor! Held every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary, Bible Study with Pastor Ron is a great way to deepen your faith and understanding of scripture.

  • The Ladies Bible Study

The Ladies Bible Study often chooses to follow studies written by female authors of faith. Ladies Bible Study has previously been guided by the works of Ann Voskamp's One Thousand Gifts: Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are, Elijah and The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer, as well as When You Pray: A Study of Six Prayers in the Bible. This ministry happens periodically throughout the Fall & Spring, and meetings take place in our Fellowship Hall.

  • Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir helps lead worship on Sunday mornings during our 9:30 a.m. service. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m. The Choir is open to anyone who loves to sing and is always welcoming to new members! For more information, contact our music director Kathryn Kipp.

  • Joyful Ringers

The Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir meets October-May on Wednesday evenings from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the Education Building. Joyful Ringers typically perform for various worship services about every 4-6 weeks. If you have rung bells in the past, or read music and are interested in learning a new skill, this may be the place for you! Contact Kathryn Kipp for more information.

  • Popsicle Ministry

One of our newest ministries at St. John, the Popsicle Ministry meets Thursday afternoons throughout the school year on the Schumacher Property and distributes popsicles to the kids walking home from school. This is a fun and unique opportunity to get to know the youth in our community, and the kids are always excited when they see that popsicle sign on a hot day!

  • The Fellowship Breakfast

Led by the St. John Methodist Men's Group, The Fellowship Breakfast happens every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. The men cook different kinds of meals and engage in fellowship and devotionals. This ministry is open to anyone with a hungry heart for Christ: husbands, wives, friends, neighbors; no matter your denomination.
