Pastor Ron has served at St. John Methodist Church of Sebring (formerly known as St. John UMC) since July of 2005 as Senior Pastor. He has served previously in Tampa, Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, and New Port Richey. He was a 2000 recipient of the Marcy Preaching Fellowship at Candler School of Theology.

Ronald De Genaro Jr. loves God and His Church. Ron became a committed follower of Jesus Christ as an eighteen-year-old searching for meaning and purpose in life.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Ron moved to Florida with his family when he was twelve years old. He has lived in Florida except for his time away at school. In 1993, Ron married Jeannine Crenshaw and while Jeannine has worked outside the home as a school guidance counselor, they have been genuine partners in ministry. Ron has five grown children: Sara, Rachel, Rebecca, Joseph, and David. Ron and Jeannine also have 6 wonderful and beautiful grandchildren.

Ron is a 1985 graduate of Nyack College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible. He is a graduate of Biblical Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Old Testament (1988) and a Master of Divinity (1989). Ron has done post graduate work at Columbia Theological Seminary, United Theological Seminary, and Candler School of Theology. Ron was ordained a Deacon in the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1996, and an Elder in 1999.
